This years Sports Car Festival will be held July 16th at the Elks Lodge in Webster, same location as last year. Watch this Space for important news and updates as they become available.
Update 03/28 Just want to reinforce we need sponsors for awards, as well as for the Basket Raffle. George Heissenberger has created a document to make it easier to approach a potential Award to Basket Sponsor, and Chris Baum and Maggie Robinson also have information to make it easier to approach a potential Sponsor.
Rod Rodman will be ordering our shirts very soon. They will be Burgundy this year, with white lettering.
I have signed the agreement with the Elks club so we are officially good to go. They will be providing the food tent again this year, and we will attempt to get the Ice Cream Truck back again. If it’s as hot as it was last year that will be a very welcome addition.
One additional item to stress, is that no alcoholic beverages an be brought onto the Elks Grounds in your trunk, purse or super secret hip flask. This is to ensure conformity with the Elk’s liquor license. Their bar will be open and they will cheerfully provide you with a cold adult beverage, which must be consumed inside the bar area.
Update 04/21/17. Show Planning is coming along. The awards are ordered and classes this year are:
- Best of Show – overall, all makes/models/year
- Best MG of Show
- Best Porsche of Show
- Lowest Mileage
- Farthest Away – based on city/state/zip or registration (note car must be driven from that location. Not trailered in or stored locally and registered there)
- Best Custom Paint
- Most Unique Car of Show
- Future Sports Car Owners Choice – 16 and under only vote.
- Best Presentation – for those that like to show their car in a “Setting”.
- Car You Want to Drive Home
- Best Race Car
- Best Woman Driven Car
There is no points judging, all awards are by popular vote by show participants.
Tee Shirts will also be here around the first of May. This year’s color is maroon with white lettering and the club shield as in years past. Dash plaques for the first 100 cars will be available and Haggerty Insurance has once again come through with goodie bags.

After filling out the form you have three payment options. Mail a check to the PO Box indicated on the payment page, PayPal, or bring a check to the May or June Meeting. It is $10.00 US now until July 1st. July second to July 15th it’s $15.00, and Registration day of show is $20.00. Only the first 100 registered cars will receive a goodie bag and dash plaque so be sure to register early.
Things are coming together. George Heissenberger has been busy putting advertising and notices together. We will have an ad in the Penny Saver in 9 regions, along with notices sent to various local media.
Tee Shirts are ordered, Awards are in and Dash Plaques are ordered and will be in around the middle of July.
Baskets are going well but we need a few more. Thanks to several members who stepped up at the May meeting and signed up to do one or contribute to one.
Trophy Sponsorship’s are also needed. Contact me directly for rates and classes that are available if you have a preferred class you want to sponsor.
The “Run till it’s Done” car has been acquired and Dick Rzepkowski will be managing it again for us.

Things are falling into place. Dash plaques are in, T Shirts are in, we have a good selection of baskets for the basket auction, the Run ’till it’s Done vehicle has been obtained, so all I have to do now is try and negotiate with Ma Nature and hope she gives us a nice day. Next Car Show Committee meeting is Monday June 26th at Minuteman Press in Greece, right on Ridge just off 390 to the east. We’ll be meeting for dinner at McGregor’s across the street at 6 for anyone that would like to join us.
