Fall Tour 2024 and Noble Sheppard / Wizard of Clay Appreciation Meet.

2024 Fall Tour

2024 Fall Tour Due to an abnormally late start in planning, this year’s ride very similar to one we took 7 years ago, but some route changes were made to make it interesting and I believe more scenic. Our starting location will be the Legion where we have our meetings. The date also coincides with their monthly breakfast which is optional. Serving regular or western style scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potato gems, pancakes, French toast, sausage gravy & biscuits, fresh fruit salad, orange juice and coffee for $13, cash, credit, or debit card. Children under the age of 8 eat free. If you plan on eating breakfast, make sure your arrival time will give you enough time to eat to attend the driver’s meeting at 10:30. If you do NOT want breakfast, then please park your car off to the left in the grassy area so we do not take up too much room for public breakfast parking. We will hold a quick Driver’s Meeting at 10:30, with the first cars out at 11:00 AM. The first leg will take us on a ~60 mile ride, starting west through Scottsville towards LeRoy, then head south, and hopefully the corn will be harvested for some nice views to the east of the Genesee River Valley. The destination at the end of the leg will be The Lumberyard Restaurant in Perry for lunch. There are four menu choices with a price of $36.00 per person, which includes sales tax and gratuity. The Menu Choices are:

  • Chopped Sirloin with Mushroom Gravy
  • 8 oz. Prime Rib with Au Jus
  • 6 oz. Broiled Haddock with choice of preparation:
      • Cajun
      • Lemon Pepper
      • Plain
  • Genesee Valley Chicken – Chicken Breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions and topped with Provolone Cheese.
  • All meals include All-You-Can-Eat Soup and Salad Bar, rolls and butter, and homemade twice baked potato, coffee, tea.

After Lunch we will head back to the cars and continue on our route. Leg 2 of the tour is ~54 miles that takes us back north and east of Perry for a bit, then heads south and east through Cuylerville, around Geneseo and into Lakeville. From there it’s a nice scenic ride to Noble Sheppard and Wizard of Clay, where we will end the tour with a refreshing beer and shopping at The Wizard. This is also an appreciation stop for the basket items they donated to us for the Car Show in July. Noble Sheppard donated $40 dollars’ worth of merchandise Wizard of Clay donated a $25 Dollar Gift Card. I will have a Sign-Up Sheet at the September and October meetings. The very last day to sign up for lunch is Friday October 18th. Please indicate the number in your party, as well as your menu choice for each person. There is no requirement for a headcount for Noble Sheppard, however Tony would like to have an idea of how many to expect for staffing so please indicate whether you will be going to NS also. If you are unable to make either meeting, please send an email to this link – Mike Robinson . (if the link does not work opening your email, send it to mrobins1057@twc.com) and indicate the number of people in your car, and your menu choices. I will be sending out email blasts between now and then several times to ensure everyone has a chance to attend.
